Senior Land Manager, Land Assets Division, Endowment Group

  • Responsible for management of Kawailoa Plantation which covers 25,000 acres on the North Shore of Oahu.
  • Implemented conversion of 2500 acres of former cane land to diversified use in five years.
  • Responsible for daily management of the water infrastructure system required for irrigation.
  • Represented KS at the state legislature and at the City Council of Honolulu on agricultural issues.

1996-1999 Kamehameha Schools Honolulu, Hawaii

Associate Director, Region II, Oahu

  • Successfully negotiated terms of surrender with Waialua Sugar Company which preserved existing infrastructure and enabled conversion to diversified use.
  • Obtained approval of the first master plan based on the Ahupua’a concept of land management known as the Ahupua’a ‘O Kawailoa Master Plan

  • Responsible for planning the conversion of 25,000 acres of land held by Waialua Sugar Company to KS management.

  • Responsible for management of office operations for Honolulu and Kona.
  • Responsible for land management on Kauai, Maui and Molokai.
  • Completed the first well development project at Keawanui.

  • Responsible for management of commercial and residential properties owned by KS in Kahala (1983 to 86) and Pearl City (1986 to 1987).
  • Provided support to KS legal staff and retained counsel on all fee conversion actions such as Kahala Beach I and II.
  • Responsible for negotiating and implementing development of KS projects such as the Heights of Wailuna,
