BIOGRAPHY OF CARLETON WILLIAMS |

Carleton L. Williams joined his partner in forming Detor & Williams, Certified Public Accountants, in January 1989 after an 11-year career with the international accounting firm of Deloitte Haskins & Sells (now Deloitte & Touche). Carl has nearly 27 years of public accounting experience, during which he provided financial reporting and consulting services to a variety of for-profit and not-for-profit organizations throughout Hawaii. Carl is an initial member and past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Agricultural Leadership Foundation of Hawaii, on which he continues to serve. While at Deloitte, he managed the firm’s Hilo office and its agricultural client engagements there, including sugar, flower, and transportation cooperative associations, as well as cattle ranches, dairies, macadamia nut growers, and other agricultural enterprises. In addition, Carl previously managed the audit of one of Hawaii's largest publicly held corporations, and played a key role in the public offerings and audits of other major local enterprises. Carl is currently the Treasurer of The Pacific Club. He is a past-chairman of the Board of Directors of the Easter Seal Society of Hawaii, a past-president of the Rotary Club of West Honolulu, and serves as an officer and director of various other organizations. Carl has a Masters of Business Administration degree in finance and Bachelors degree in accounting from the University of Hawaii. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Hawaii Society of Certified Public Accountants (he is currently a Vice President of the Society and continues to serve as a founding member of the Society’s Peer Review Committee, after having helped to design its peer review program).
