The Agricultural Leadership Foundation of Hawai‘i hosts the statewide Hawai‘i Agriculture Conference approximately every two years. These conferences have pushed, expanded, and challenged private and public sector decision-makers to shape a vibrant agriculture industry in Hawai‘i. Past topics and content ranged from agritourism to internet sales; entrepreneurial business skills and the power of local markets to agricultural theft and biofuels; and the continuing evolution of the sector to make commitments that further agriculture’s viability in Hawai‘i.
The most recent conference brought together over 650 participants in 2022. Previous conferences were held in 2008, 2010, 2012, 2017 and 2019. Prior to 2008, ALFH was a sponsoring partner of the conference along with Hawai‘i Farm Bureau Federation, Hawai‘i Department of Agriculture and the University of Hawai‘i’s College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources.
